Dear Landowners,

The Memorial Day Annual Meeting, held on May 29, 2010 had great weather except for an occasional wind gust that would send papers flying.  It was inspirational to have Old Glory flying over the ranch house for the first time ever and see the lake higher than it has been in several years. One third of the entire Association was represented in person or by proxy. 

Eileen Domer, Jerry Toellner and Mary Jo Wallen were elected to three year terms with 215/217/205 votes respectively.  A good time was held by all. The Board is now complete with all seven seats filled with four fulltime residents, two members with recreational homes and one who plans to build after retirement. 

We are now in the season of gnats and wishing for rain.  Please come prepared with anti-itch cream if you plan on camping.  A few residents feel they have the secret for keeping the gnats at a distance, but my personal experience has not been good with any of it.  A regular ole head net is about all that can protect you when working outside during the heat of the day as the gnats love the scalp and hairline.

There have been a lot of great fishing tales these last few months, but if you plan on fishing, I would encourage you to do it soon as the lake is receding due to irrigation of crops and the weeds are appearing.  An algae bloom may be imminent.
