Message from
Cibola County Sheriffs Department. (Posted
11-1-07) Lt. Harry L. Hall Cibola County Sheriffs Department, would you please
add the following info to your Timber Lake news letter web site. Cibola
County Rural Addressing Mr. Darryl McCullough at 505-285-2515. If Darryl is out
of the office you can leave a voice message on his phone, dmccullough@zia.net.com.
Please note Darryl is on a budget, and would only go to remote areas after he
has scheduled several homes to assign address to due to the high cost of gas.
You may also get your address when Darryl is in his office or write him at 515
West High Street Grants, New Mexico 87020. Please call ahead to make sure Darryl
is in his office, and make an appointment if you have a long drive. It
would be a great help if your members would understand that any number they place
on their property must be seen day or night on the main road where drive ways
turn off at. If your members live off a side street the emergency services folks
will need a sign on the main road to turn off on. McKinley County has started
using small red colored numbers which seem easy to find, regardless the numbers
should be easily seen at night as well. The
Cibola County Sheriffs Office currently has (11) Eleven Deputies. This includes
the elected Sheriff, (1) Lieutenant, (1) Sergeant, (1) Deputy for Civil's and
Prisoner Transport, and (7) Seven Deputies for patrol. Cibola County is 4,500
Square miles more or less. The sheriff has openings for an Undersheriff, and one
Deputy. Many Deputies are new to the area, and will need your help in finding
your home. Your help in placing rural address
numbers on your driveways, and street signs in your area will greatly help response
time, and help keep crime down. Please report crime as recommended in your Timber
Lake news letter web site. The new Dispatch
Center in Grants is 505-287-9476 County Non-Emergency, 505-287-4404 City Non-Emergency,
and 911 for Emergencies. The new center is dispatching the County Sheriff, City
Police, (Except the Village of Milan), all Volunteer Fire departments, (Except
Timber Lake, Village of Ramah, & the Ramah Pine Hill Navajo Chapter), and
Mount Taylor Ambulance. Please note all of the Tribal Police in Cibola County
Currently dispatch there own police/fire/ems. Some Volunteer Fire Departments
are dispatched through McKinley County Metro Dispatch, Timber Lake is one of them.
A new county wide fire/ems radio frequency
is almost completed for Cibola County. Volunteer fire personnel in your area should
contact Lt. Hall Radio Comm, or Mrs. Sheila Grant Dispatch Supervisor for more
information. Lt. Harry L. Hall 505-876-2049 Office 505-287-9476
