(Posted 6-18-08) Our hungry bear has been successfully captured without injury to anyone. Mark Bundren estimated the bear to weigh about 150 pounds. He will do what is necessary (eye drops/ointment), tag him, and move him to Mt. Taylor, away from people. Hopefully, for the bear's sake, he will stay away from people. Everyone needs to be reminded to put garbage in a secure place, like a garage, and be ready to call Mark should more show up. This one was not afraid of people, yelling, or anything. He was HUNGRY. Residents may contact Mark at either (505)-783-4882 or (505)-331-4872..
